Based in the Cathedral City of Hereford, Pipe Sergeant Simon Addison is a full-time, professional Highland Piper and he has been playing the Great Highland Bagpipe for over 23 years. Already an accomplished musician, Simon took up the pipes at the age of 19 and studied at the College of Piping in Glasgow as well as having personal tuition from a former Argyll and Sutherland piper. He has gone on to become a very talented and accomplished piper. Simon is Pipe Sergeant for the Cwmbran and District Pipes and Drums in South Wales and is also called upon to pipe for various ceremonial events in Hereford and the surrounding areas. He is well-known as an excellent piper and he is the first choice of bagpiper for many funeral directors in the Herefordshire area and further.
